I honestly got tired of it, the jeers when acquaintances asked me if my "upscale civic" was any good, the ricers everywhere, the fact that the little things made it spew anti-freeze and-or oil, the fact that my fat butt hardly fit in... along other things. I unceremoniously traded it for a GMC Sonoma, link !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! since the guy has not taken the ad down lol. I have just turned one thousand miles on it and so far i dig it, not head over heels for it but its an alright truck, and to celebrate here is the story.

The Meeting
I messaged the guy on Friday Night asking if he was interested on the Honda, he said yes, after the usual "whats wrong, whats good" conversation we set a date to see each other's cars, Sunday Morning. Saturday rolled around and it was my little cousins birthday and i was in charge to get the cake, then i got a call from the seller, he wants to meet ASAP. so i go to the local Home Depot WITH my cousin in tow (i convinced him to come along because well, i already had shown him the ad and he was fascinated as i was) so we show up and this is what we found...
Always a good idea to ask if he has spare parts from the car. A spare full size rim!
Ouch.
I definitely should have checked the VIN
It all was well until i reached the interiour area, it was (and is still a bit) bad.
Then i cranked the motor, a Vortec 4.3 oh man that engine grumbled sofly but authoritarian lol. Propped the hood open and found none of the suspicious things, oil with water, ticks or whines. i was happy about that. My cousin was excited, "this thing is badass" he said... drove it around the parking lot a bit and then did the same with the 'Lude. I realized i should have been picking up Beto's cake and parted ways with Sonoma Guy. We agreed to think things through and let some time pass... then proceded to haul ass to the bakery store to get the cake, an hour later at home i get the sense i should have said yes right away. I called Michael (hooray for remembering this late in the post) and told him i wanted to do the trade right away, he said he was out and not available so i had to wait till tomorrow afternoon 'cause he had to work. I waited. Sunday came and i did a whole bunch of nothing but research on how to legally trade a car. 5:00 came about i was at the Home Depot again papers in hand and pen ready with my dad this time. Signed away the Prelude and took on home the truck, only to stop at a gas station and be imprisoned by the door... he never told me how to properly open it, which in this case it involves pulling the door in and popping the door. Pumped gas and went home.
So far...
So good, the engine is peppy and willing. Transmission behaves the way it should. It is quirky though, the doors have to be slammed shut pretty much, the headliner has push pins all over, the seats do not recline at all, most of the trim should be replace, the handling, oh the humanity! it is hilariously bad when trying to go around the corner, or over 65 miles on the highway... but it all is rewarded with good overall gas mileage, the soft purr of the engine (which today i found out it has a Flowmaster muffler) and the usefulness of a truck which is somehow neglected due to the big-ass rims on it. The steering is rather wobbly.... the AC compressor is out, the parking brake doesn't stay put, along a litany of other maladies which honestly i'll get around to when the local pull-your-parts junkyard holds it's 50% percent off sale. All in all i dare say i got a decent truck that works and plays all right . Just let me get around to put my "Vamos Mexico" World Cup sticker and ill be ok lol
All in all i dare say i got a decent truck that can work as well as it... ehh, should i lose the rims Oppo?

Sell the rims and buy something better looking. Also, relocate that front license plate...
